Fourth Tea Party - Big Success!
Yesterday marked the fourth Tea and Card Making Party at Casa Ana and it was fun! We had a lovely group with Barbara, Bette, Fern, Lila, Sarah and Sheryl. We snacked on a lemon tart with fresh strawberries, sour cream chocolate chip cookies and cream cheese with that sesame seed salsa that seems to be all the rage here these days. Delish! We washed that all down with chamomile/lemon tea and champagne! Here are some pics for your enjoyment.
Hope you can join us next time!

Look See What I've Been Up To!
As you can imagine, I spend much of my time playing with paper! I'm not sure which I enjoy more, designing the cards or actually putting them together! Here are a few new ones:
Tomorrow is another "Tea and Card Making Party" so stay tuned!

We Are Moving Along Now!
Great group of ladies yesterday for another "card and tea party". This was Yvonne's second time coming and she brought three friends, Betty, Joani and Susan. The cards were the same we made in the previous post, but were new to this group, so that was okay and all had a great time!
Our tea consisted of espresso brownies, macaroon cake and banana bread and our tea was a chamomile/citrus.

Also, thank you to my first inductees into card making. Judy, Lorraine, Mercedes and Yvonne, you did great! It was a pleasure having you to tea, cookies and card making!

First Card Making Tea Party!
WOW! Have a lot to learn about doing a "Card Making Tea Party"! This was a great "first" with just friends and family this time. We decided to pick a "theme" but once we got started we sort of went in different directions with all of the same supplies. Here are a few pictures:
It turned out to be a great first time and look forward to many more!
So, the first card was made by Donna, the second by Victoria and the third by Judy. Well done Ladies!

What Goes Into Making a Card?
Violets |
There are many elements to making a card, take this one for instance. The white card stock was dry embossed, there were four different sizes of paper cut in four different colors. There were two punches used, one oval and one scalloped oval for the message. The violets were stamped, wet embossed, hand painted with ink and a paint brush and cut by hand. Put everything together, add a bow, a brad and viola! A beautiful card. Looks easy doesn't it? This card took about two hours to make!

One Of My Very First Cards
These little sheep are so much fun to make! Of course, every time you make a card you will think of things you could have done differently. But, these sheep are adorable!
